Use of the Indirect function on a closed workbook.

I would like to use the indirect function to input data from various closed
workbooks. If I have the text "test" in cell A1, I would like to use the
indirect function in cell B1 to obtain data from file "test.xls." I can do
that, but when "test.xls" is closed, I get an error. I noted in a thread
that there was a function I could obtain from the Web site "Morefunc for
Excel" that would work with closed files. That web site no longer has a
working link to that function. Any other sites or help?

The link to Laurent's site worked ok for me.

I clicked on the English page and clicked the link to download the function and
that worked, too.

Thank you for all your help, there must be a problem with our network or
something beyond my knowledge, I sent the link to several people in my office
and no one here could get it to work. I guess I will try at home tonight.

THANKS!

I also just tried and failed to download the function. Does anyone know an
alternative? Or can anyone who has managed to download the xll from Laurent
Longre upload to somewhere else, please?
