date in Cell to change colors if the date is beyond today's da
Hi,
Please enter a quesion in the body of your emai; if you don't the web won't let us reply, instead it displays the following error message. "An error occurred while sending your post We're sorry, but there was a problem with the system and your post was not received. The error has been reported to Operations and will be investigated as soon as possible. Please try again later." This means, that to respond we need to start a separate thread - which is a bad practice and wastes time. To post the first response I needed to switch to an email package and then to come back here I needed to switch back to IE. =============== In 2003: 1. Select the cells you want to format, suppose that cell is A1 2. Choose Format, Conditional Formatting 3. Choose Formula is from the first drop down 4. In the second box enter the formula: =$F$1TODAY() 5. Click the Format button 6. Choose a color on the Patterns tab (or any available option) 7. Click OK twice. In 2007: 1. Highlight all the cells on the rows you want formatted 2. Choose Home, Conditional Formatting, New Rule 3. Choose Use a formula to determine which cell to format 4. In the Format values where this formula is true enter the following formula: =$F$1TODAY() 5. Click the Format button and choose a format. 6. Click OK twice -- If this helps, please click the Yes button.
