CSV Copy

I just copied about 1500 rows by 3 colums of a CSV file to an excel file. My
excel file jumped from about 5 MB to 100 MB. When you copy these files does
it increase the size of the overall file? Is there a better way to copy the
information so that it does not increase my overall excel file?

Hi,

that increase sound way out of line. First try to open the csv file in
Excel rather than copying it. Choose File, Open and change the Files of type
to All files *.* find your file and open it. If Excel has no problem with
the file it would just open it, if it has a problem you will see the Import
Wizard, follow the instruction.

Large jumps in file size suggest imbedded graphics such a bitmaps.
