Workbooks Disappearing

I've had two workbooks just disappear today after I worked on them. They
are not in the original folder. One just had data in it and it was fairly
easy to regenerate. The other has code in it. Has anyone had this problem
and were you able to find your files?

Thanks,
Barb Reinhardt

Sounds very strange. I would
a) look in Recycle bin
then
2) do a Search with the file names
3) assuming you saved them today, do a Search with just today's date (no
name) in case they got renamed
best wishes and good luck!

Workbooks Disappearing

I found a temp file of the workbook that I was most concerned about losing so
thanks for that tip. I think what may have happened is that I had an error
during execution (I think related to another file I opened) and excel had to
close. I had several versions of recovered files apparently and I think I
chose an older one over the current one.
