Default Can't Open File?

Excel2003 ... File size 140mg ... approx 80 WorkSheets ... each 100 Cols by
120 Rows ... each with 20+ Macro Buttons ... which I assume to be responsible
for majority of File Size???

Above said ... I SAVED File to a USB Flash Drive in order to work from home
....
(note: Inspite of File size ... File working Fine before saving to USB)

Issue ... When attempting to open File (at home) ... My Excel Returns:

1: Excel can not perform this function with available resources ... Close
other Apps ... OK Button ... (thing is, I have no other Apps running)

2: Once you click OK ... Excel attempts to "Repair" File ... then returns
same warning message (Excel can not perform this function with available
resources) ... Again an OK Button

3: Once you click OK ... Excel attempts to "Extract" File ... then returns
same warning message (Excel can not perform this function with available
resources) ... & of course the OK button.

I copied file from Jump Drive to Hard Drive & then tried opening again, but
got same error messages (only I got them faster)

Above said ... I am stuck ... I thought I was going to have this done by Mon.

So ... do any of you that are intimate with Excel know what is happening here?

Thanks ... Kha

Could the file on the jump drive be corrupt? Have you tried putting the file
on another jump drive.
Use the Safely Remove tool before pulling drive from USB socket
best wishes

Default Can't Open File?

Dear Ken

Few thoughts..

1. It is always better to copy that to the HDD and open. Just right click
the file in explorer and check whether the file is read-only. Then close all
programs running in your machine and attempt to open the file

2. Do you have any events triggered during workbook open. If so set the
Tools|Macro|Security to high and try to open the workbook OR hold down the
Shift key while opening the workbook to stop executing those.

3. Still you are having problems; try to open the same in another machine
(if available) with more memory

If this post helps click Yes
