trouble copying a formula
I have 2 collumns of data, and I want to compare them - using
=IF(F2E2,"Yes","NO"). This gives the correct answer in the cell, but when I drag the contents down to repeat it for the rows below (by draging the corner) the formula appears to copy correctly, showing 3's the row below, etc, but the value provided is always the same as the first cell. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong |

Copy the cell(Ctrl+C).
Select the range you need to copy Paste (Ctrl+V) If this post helps click Yes --------------- Jacob Skaria "naj" wrote: I have 2 collumns of data, and I want to compare them - using =IF(F2E2,"Yes","NO"). 1. maybe all the results are right
2. maybe you need to change your calculation settings from Manual to Automatic Tools-Options-Calcualtion tab-set to Automatic On 27 Maj, 12:39, naj wrote: I have 2 collumns of data, and I want to compare them - using =IF(F2E2,"Yes","NO"). *This gives the correct answer in the cell, but when I drag the contents down to repeat it for the rows below (by draging the corner) the formula appears to copy correctly, showing 3's the row below, etc, but the value provided is always the same as the first cell. *Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong |
