How do I switch from 1,2,3... back to A,B,C... column reference na
I noticed in Excel 2003 both the rows and columns are numbered. As far
creating and maintaining Excel formulas, I'd prefer the previous column labeling. Does anyone know how to switch back to the A,B,C labeling once a file has been saved and updated to the latest version of Excel? |

HOW DO I CHANGE A B C INTO WORDS???
Not possible, you need to create your own headers maybe in row one and type
them there. -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom "PRETTY_IN_PINK1386" wrote in message ... I'M IN EXCEL ...I WANT TO CHNAGE THE ABC ON THE TOP INTO REAL WORDS...HOW DO I DO THIS???????!! |

Firstly, please get your Caps Lock key sorted out so that you can stop
SHOUTING. If you are asking about the column titles, then no, they are fixed as either A, B, C or 1, 2, 3. If you want your own titles, put them in row 1 of the sheet, and you can keep them in place by using the "freeze panes" facility. If you want to hide the existing row and column headers, you can do so (in Tools/ Options/ View), but you can't do so for column headers without hiding row headers too. -- David Biddulph "PRETTY_IN_PINK1386" wrote in message ... You don't, and PLEASE don't type in all upper case unless you intend to
SHOUT in text. If you wish you may use the first row for your own column headings, and turn off the regular one in Options, but be aware that the row labels will turn off too. PRETTY_IN_PINK1386 wrote: I'M IN EXCEL ...I WANT TO CHNAGE THE ABC ON THE TOP INTO REAL WORDS...HOW DO I DO THIS???????!! |
