I am trying to change the color of my worksheet tabs, but can't find any info
on ho to do it using a mac

Right click on the Sheet tab and select a color from 'Tab Color'.

If you are looking for a macro..
ActiveWorkbook.Sheets("Sheet1").Tab.Color = vbRed
