Pasting cells between two open windows
Is there a way to copy and paste cells from one open window to another? I
opened two excel windows and can only paste an image, etc. Why doesn't excel recognize both are excel? |
Pasting cells between two open windows
you need to open both workboosk in the same instance of Excel.
If you use File/Open or the open file icon in your open Excel workbook, this will allow copy and paste between workbooks. If you go to your start menu, desktop, quick star, etc. and open a new instance of Excel, it will not be recognized as the same app. "tuanman" wrote: Is there a way to copy and paste cells from one open window to another? Sounds like you have two workbooks open in two separate instances of Excel.
Close one instance and open both workbooks in one single instance of Excel.
