convert data into barcode
I am trying to convert data from specific cells into a barcode. I have the
correct barcode font loaded but cannot seem to get a couple of the cells to give me the correct data. For instance, one of the cells is a date. When I try to add this cell to the formula, instead of the date I see 239918. I also have a cell that has to be 2 characters. When I try to add this cell to the formula, it will only return 1 character unless the number is a bove 9. I have the cell formatted where it shows to characters (ex. 02) but always returns only one character(ex. 2). Here is the formula I am using. ="*"&F7&R7&B15&R23&R15&"*" B15 is the cell that should be two characters and R23 is the cell that is the date. |

Use the TEXT function to format the values. Change the date format to suit
your requirement ="*"&F7&R7&TEXT(B15,"00")&TEXT(R23,"mm-dd-yyyy")&R15&"*" -- If this post helps click Yes --------------- Jacob Skaria "BAKERSMAN" wrote: I am trying to convert data from specific cells into a barcode.
