Strange Named Ranges
I'm using Excel 2007 and am getting some compatibility errors when saving a
file as a .xls file. Anyway, I'm checking the named ranges and when I list them out using some code I prepared, I have a bunch of names that look like this: Defect Summary'!Z_856B468A_867D_4C40_9C74_F4AE145D3584_.w vu.Cols Defect Summary'!Z_856B468A_867D_4C40_9C74_F4AE145D3584_.w vu.PrintArea Defect Summary'!Z_BDF4DCB3_66F4_468C_B839_B4DBA2393C10_.w vu.Cols Defect Summary'!Z_BDF4DCB3_66F4_468C_B839_B4DBA2393C10_.w vu.PrintArea Defect Summary'!Z_D7C000CA_0BF8_42CF_8BE1_4F5288B469FF_.w vu.Cols Defect Summary'!Z_D7C000CA_0BF8_42CF_8BE1_4F5288B469FF_.w vu.PrintArea I do have a worksheet 'Defect Summary', but I don't know where the Z_ ... part came from. I have another handful that apply to another worksheet. Can someone shed some light on the source of these? They also don't display in the name manager within Excel. Thanks, Barb Reinhardt |
Strange Named Ranges
I've done some Googling and found references to names like this being tied to
CustomViews. I checked the workbook and there are no customViews. Might these be artifacts of old ones?
