Unhide function not working
 

I have hidden column A in a worksheet and by following the instructions to
unhide it (keying in A1 in the box at the top left) I am not getting that
column back. Any other suggestions as to why this might be happening?

Ideas:
Select A1 using your method, then press Ctrl+Shift+0
or
Select column B, and drag left. Now right click, unhide column.
or
The column is unhidden, but you have freeze panes activated. Unfreeze the
cells to see column A.
