Excel 2002: Request to speed up deleting blank cells

Hi,

I notice that it normally takes 12-15 seconds or longer to delete blank
cells selected from a large block of data of 35,000 rows with altenate empty
rows.

If MS could upgrade the software to enable the job done much faster, it
would be great.

I do not know how fast is Excel 2007 could do the similar job. Appreciate
very much if MS could see if it need improvement.

Thanks

Low

Excel 2002: Request to speed up deleting blank cells

Hi Don,

I highlight A1: A35000 and then use F5 Special Select Blanks and
delete rows.

I am not using sorting to eliminate the blanks because I need to preserve
the original row sequence.

Thanks

Low

Is Auto Calculate turned off? Also, the earliest supported version of
Excel is 2003. you won't be seeing any patches for 2002.
