lost tabs for Sheet1, Sheet2....

I have a spreadsheet with several sheets. There is also a macro. When I
answer the macro security option question "enable this content", the tabs
for sheet1 ... used to appear at the bottom of the window. Now they does
not... I must have done something... I can still display the next sheet by
pressing 'CTRL and PgDn'.

Anybody knows what I did and how to undo it?

Thanks you.

Otto1939,

Try (XL 2003 and prior, I'm not familiar with XL 2007):

Tools Options "View" tab "Window options" section
Verify "Sheet tabs" is checked

I don't know if there is a keyboard shortcut to turn these off, but it could
have been done with code.

thank you Conan.

I should have mentioned:

I am using Excel 2007 SP2, Windows XP SP3...the macro was not changed: also,
it does not hide/unhide the tabs.

I cannot apply your answer to Excel 2007, so I still do not know what
happened.

Otto1939,

If you know how to check the settings/Options in XL 2007, look for the same
setting in a similar location.

Sorry I couldn't help out more.

of course, I tried all the usual suspects, however, my intuitionn is often
not what is required. There is an obvious location for the fix, obvious for
me only with 20/20 hindsight!

thanks again
