How can I make the date in the header apear as April 30, 2009 instead of
4/30/09? |

Select the cell. Right click -- FormatCells--Date.

Date format in header
The date is in the header, not in a cell. I can format a cell easily, but the

Date format in header
Excel uses the Windows short date format in headers/footers.
Very little formatting can be done with this. Couple of options...................... Either enter the date as text or use VBA to change the formatting to what you wish.
