Inserting commas
 

Excel does not insert commas for figures over 999,999. For example instead of
displaying 12,999,999 as shown, it displays it as 12999,999. There is no way
to change the display format. Can this be done?

Format Cells... Number Custom ###,###,###

This will cause
123456789
to be displayed as
123,456,789
