Default numbers

when i enter 1-1 it keeps going to the date I'd rather it not do that how do
i stop it?

Enter this as '1-1 into a cell which will format that as text..

If you have similar information to be entered into an entire column; select
the column..Right click..Format Cells..as Text before you start entering the
data//

hi
perhaps you forgot to mention that you can preceed the input with an
apostrophe and accomplich the same thing.
