Under cell format, protection, uncheck the box marked "locked" for the cells
you want users to be able to input data into. -- Best Regards, Luke M *Remember to click "yes" if this post helped you!* "protect formulas" wrote: Can I protect the formulas in a Worksheet but allow data inputting? |

You can lock all the cells that should be "protected" -- include other stuff
(headers/instructions/etc) that you don't want touched. And you can unlock all the cells that the user can change. Then protect the worksheet. Select the cells to lock or unlock Format|cells|protection tab (xl2003 menus) and check Lock (or uncheck it) You can protect the sheet by: tools|Protection|protect sheet (and give it a nice password) Be aware that there are many things that can't be done on a protected worksheet. You'll want to check to see if that's a problem for you. And this worksheet protection is easily broken. Don't expect it to stop anyone who really wants to break into your worksheet. protect formulas wrote: Can I protect the formulas in a Worksheet but allow data inputting? -- Dave Peterson |
