Turning off the month function
Excel is converting my numbers into months (e.g., "8" becomes "Aug" when in
this format: 8-45). In that example, I do NOT mean August, 1945; it's a page number. How do I turn off this function? I've looked everywhere for an answer! |

this is excel being helpful. only way i know of is to preformat the cell as text or preceed the entry with an apostrophe. precede with '8-45 it will treat as text

Enter a ' before entering the number...like this
