Cell borders do not print on one side of print area??

Hi all,

I am having problems printing a spreadsheet in Excel 2003 SP3.

The cell borders do not print on the RHS of right most column in the
print area. The top, bottom and LHS of the print area are ok. I have
checked the properties of those cells in the right most column and
they show the correct border settings. But, the borders do not show up
on the Print Preview.

any ideas??

Thanks in advance for your time!

Answer: Cell borders do not print on one side of print area??

Hi A,

I understand that you are having trouble printing cell borders on the right-hand side of your print area in Excel 2003. This can be frustrating, but there are a few things you can try to resolve the issue.
  1. Check the page margins: Sometimes, the page margins can be set too narrow, which can cause the right-hand side of the print area to be cut off. To check the margins, go to File Page Setup Margins and make sure they are set to a reasonable width.
  2. Adjust the print area: It's possible that the print area is not set correctly, which could be causing the borders to be cut off. To adjust the print area, go to File Print Area Set Print Area and make sure the area you want to print is selected.
  3. Check the printer settings: It's possible that the printer settings are causing the borders to be cut off. To check the printer settings, go to File Print Printer Properties and make sure the paper size and orientation are set correctly.
  4. Try a different printer: If none of the above solutions work, it's possible that the issue is with the printer itself. Try printing the spreadsheet on a different printer to see if the borders appear correctly.

I hope these suggestions help you resolve the issue.

border must belong to cell in print area.

try this test to see problem

new sheet, put somethng in A1
set print area to A1 only - imoportant to do this for test!
goto B1 and give left border
do print preview - no border!

now do same again but give right border to A1.

with your sheet you must remove the bad bordr and add new right border

Borders can be a bit odd. As a guess your have right had borders are actually
left hand borders of the cells to the right. In that case unless you include
the cells immediately to the right that contain the borders you will not get
your border. To fix the problem remove the borders from the right hand side
and replace them with right hand borders of the appropriate cells.
