Import data into protected worksheet
 

I would like to import external data into unlocked cells in a protected
worksheet.
The data from an external piece of test equipment is always in the same
format, so I have blocked out cells for the import. These cells are
unlocked. The formulas to analyze the data are to be protected. When I
protect the sheets, the DATA import function is grayed out, so I can't
import. Is there some way to do what I want?
