Drop Down List Error
 

When I attempt to utilize a pre-exisitng drop down list within an Excel
(version 2003) worksheet I receive a "fatal error" from Excel causing the
document recovery process to begin. I am able to modify the drop down list
by changing the contents of the "cell link" set up in the Format Control of
the Drop Down List.

This seems counter intuitive, can anyone assist me in solving this issue?
