Default Copy Worksheet

I've copied a worksheet by right clicking the name of the sheet and checking
the copy box. The worksheet selected to be copied is copied in the same
workbook and the name of the new worksheet is automatically given the same
name as the original worksheet but with a (2) behind the name. For example a
worksheet call IRR is copied and is called IRR(2) automatically. I've copied
two sheet in this way. I've also renamed the copied sheets, for example
IRR(2) was renamed IRR Phase 2. My problem is that the workbook seems to
have a circular formula or something else that doesn't allow the cells to
update properly when I make changes to various assumptions ... sometime the
workbook seems to update ok and other times it doesn't. The automatic calc
is checked in the option box. Have I created a circular formula that Excel
can't detect by copying sheet whole? Are the copied pages which have been
renamed too similar in name to the original worksheet name?

Default Copy Worksheet

Do you see "circular" in the status bar?

If you do...

You may want to try Stephen Bullen's utility:
http://www.oaltd.co.uk/Excel/Default.htm
Look for FindCirc.zip

Are you sure that there isn't an existing circular reference before the copy?

But if you don't see that warning in the statusbar, you may want to expand on
the problem.
