I Quick print a document from server. There are 20 pages printed but only 4
pages exist in the worksheet. How does this happen? -- Bill W |

It could be that your print range is wrong.
File|Print area (in xl2003 menus) Or it could be that your used range isn't what you expect, so excel wants to print everything. Visit Debra Dalgleish's site: http://contextures.com/xlfaqApp.html#Unused For a couple of techniques of resetting that last used cell. Bill wrote: I Quick print a document from server. I am using office/XL2007, I tried your suggestions, including going to
Debra's page but to no avail. In the other worksheets in the file, Quick Print shows the correct number of pages as they exist in the worksheet - except the one worksheet I am needing. There are olny 4 pages in it but the Quick Print preview and print gives 20 pages. Using the Print drop down and selecting Print to choose the printer, etc gives me 1 print of the 4 pages. even the Quick Print setup shows 1 copy - but of 20 pages, not 5 copies. [I should have worded this problem more clearly]. Dave, does this bring up any ideas? Another way to express it is -in the worksheet I have 4 pages; when I preview and quick print XL says there are 20 pages. I tried the suggestion to delete balnk rows/columns but no change. -- Bill W "Dave Peterson" wrote: It could be that your print range is wrong. And what happened when you changed the print area?

And what cell is selected when you hit ctrl-end.
That's what excel thinks is the bottom right corner of the used range. Bill wrote: I am using office/XL2007, I tried your suggestions, including going to Debra's page but to no avail.
