Chart from 1 Column
Is it possible to create a chart giving me a count and/or percentage from one
column with different entries. I need to create a chart that tells me 20% of below are female. Last Name First Name Sex Hanley James L. male Campbell J. Michael female Brooks Len (Leonard D.) male Littrell Timothy D. male Arnold Gary M. male |
Chart from 1 Column
Make a pivot table of the data. Put the Sex field into the data area and
also in either the row or column area. The field in the data area is named "Count of Sex", and by default displays 1 and 4. You can format this to display as % of Column (if you put the second instance of the field into the Rows area), and it displays 20% and 80%. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Peltier Technical Services, Inc. http://PeltierTech.com/WordPress/ Advanced Excel Conference - Training in Charting and Programming http://peltiertech.com/Training/2009...00906ACNJ.html _______ "123becky" wrote in message ...
