Default drop down list

I had two cells, one right above the other, and each had a drop down list.

Now I want to merge those cells into one cell and have the same drop down
list.

The arrow, that indicates the drop down, however, keeps appearing towards
the top to middle of the merged cell (actually at the bottom of the top cell
that is now merged) instead of the bottom of the merged cell, like all the
others.

How can I move the drop down arrow to have it appear at the bottom of the
cell.

Default drop down list

The Dropdown arrow on vertically merged cells will always appear at the top
of the merged range.

Nothing can be done AFAIK
