I have a filtered list in "file 1", and want to paste some data from "file
2", next to the filtered values in "file 1". I'm unable to do so, as the values are getting pasted in-between the cells. Please assist. I use Excel 2003. |

That's the way excel works.
So maybe you can sort the target range so that all the rows that should be pasted will be contiguous. Then do your paste and sort the data the way you like.
