decimals do not line up in column formatted the same
 

In a column of numbers all formatted with (number ,) the numbers and decimals
do not line up. I have some numbers that are input and a few formulas.
Also, it looks like Excel somehow changes some of the number formats to
accounting without the $ sign.

My invoice looks terrible. Please help. Thanks.

It will not line up if you use a proportional font.

Accounting with two decimal places should be the same as Number with 2 decimal
places; 1000 separator; and negative numbers within parentheses. So the
"change" you are seeing there should not be relevant.

I cannot reproduce your problem using a non-proportional font (Courier New) and
this format (which is the same as above): #,##0.00_);(#,##0.00)

Check to make sure that each cell is formatted the same, and that each cell is
using the same font family and size.

Also be sure that each cell is right justified.

Thank you for your response. I tried checking the format and font type and
size. They are all the same. The only thing different is that some numbers
are input and some are formulas. Also, didn't you mean left justified?

I redid everything using Lucinda Console font. I just copied one cell all
the way down and went back and redid my formulas. It is perfect now!
