Formulas won't increment when dragging to adjacent cells?

Trying to copy formula to adjacent cells (down) and they do not increment .
The cell numbers stay the same but the row numbers do not reflect the new
row. It is basically copying the original formula to all the new cells. I
have clicked and grabbed 5 cells with incrementally correct formulas, but it
fills all new cells with original formula??

Formulas won't increment when dragging to adjacent cells?

Hi,

I've just encountered this problem too. I have a speradsheet that collects
daily data. i total the sales at the bottom of each column. Recently (in the
last couple of days) I have noticed that the formula, when dragged into the
next day's total column, still represents the result from the previous day's
data, although the formula is representing the new column.

I don't think I've changed any settings and the formula doesn't contain $ to
maintain the reference.

It's as though the program can't recognise the dat has changed.

I can only update the data by clicking into that cell and accepting the
formula (I don't need to change the formula only refresh it).

Thanks

Hi everyone, this same thing is happening to me! The formulas are not
recognizing the new data. I have used the same spreadsheet for 4 years with
no problem. Do you think this is a virus?

I need a wonderful expert to write me back! Help!
