Finding/Opening a File

Am tryiing to open an .xls file created a few weeks ago. (It is listed
within a folder, is 95 KB, date is when I last saved), when I click to open
get a message that it can't be found - check spelling or file name. Any
suggestions on how to open it - why would it be listed if it isn't there?

How are you clicking to open the file?

Does it open if you use File|Open and then select it?
