Mini Toolbar Formatting
 

Help!

I have tried and tried to make the contents of a cell remain changed after
specifying formatting changes using the Mini Toolbar as Microsoft claims can
be done in Excel07. I have uninstalled/reinstalled Excel and Office, but
nothing works.

After selecting the contents of a cell, the Mini Toolbar appears to the
upper right corner of the cell. Choosing a different format from the mini
toolbar shows the contents in the specified format. However, when I click the
mouse on the same cell, another cell, or press Enter, the formatting reverts
to the original format. Live Preview is on and working, but not the
formatting changes from the Mini Toolbar.

Formatting using the Contextual Menu when a cell is right-clicked changes
the format.

How do you change and keep the format of a cell using the Mini Toolbar?
