Are you attempting to open a file stored on a floppy disk, CD, or zip
drive? You shouldn't do that. You should always copy the file from the
removable media on to your computer's main hard drive, open from
there, and then copy back to the removable media.

Hi CHip,
No, none of my excel sheets are stored anywhere other than my computer.
Either as a shortcut on desktop or in my documents. I'm using Office Pro 2003
edition. The problem just started happening in the past few days. When I make
a change to an existing doc. and click on the x to close and it prompts "do I
want to save changes", I click yes. Then a pop up says "disk full", then
another pop up says "document did not save". The excel doc. remains the same
as befor I made changes to content.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Gail Marie
