Changing Default Color in Custom Number Format

I'd like to use this custom number format: [Green]+0.00;[Red](0.00)

However, the Green displays as Bright Green. How can I change the color
given by the [Green] parameter to Green?

Only eight colors allowed and only one green color available.
Conditional formatting may be the approach you need.

XL 2007 may be different ?

So there isn't a way to change the colors Excel 2003 uses for those eight?
Some way to change what [Green] means? I am already using conditional
formatting for something else in these cells. (Besides, this just bugs me.)

Try...
Format the font in the cell with the "green" color you prefer.
Use this number format... +0.00;[Red](0.00);[Black]0;[Black]General
