I have just started using Excel 2007 but have over 10 years experience of
development with previous versions of Excel. So I'm a bit confused as to why
they have changed all of the menus so that nothing is intuitive and all of
the old processes are gone. Right now I would just like to know how to open
the file that I created yesterday. There is no File Menu. There is nothing
on any of the menus that says "Open"

Hi
You can download the Interactive Command Guide at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
This should help you till you get accustom to the new menu.

Most of the commands that were on the File menu in previous versions
are now on the "Office Button", the round button in the upper left
corner of the Excel window. This includes the list of recently opened
documents, so you should find your file there.
