Column Date Format
Problem Description: Something has happened to my ability to change the date
format in Excel 2003 Professional. Previously to this incident I could type in 03/17/09, then change the format of the cell in the ("format cells) dialog box to "format cells" to 03-Mar-09 in the dropdown and it would appear as 03-Mar-09. Also if I type a date in the column NOW and click on Format Cells select date when I click the various formats that are available, the "sample" in the dialog box does not change. Apparently the ability to change the date format is gone, but I have no idea why. I've tried using the disc to perform an Office Repair - No Help I've unzipped the file (Excel)from the disc to run excel as a new program - No Help -- -- Jerry |
Column Date Format
Perhaps you changed your Windows Regional and Language Options and now 03/17/09 is not recognized as a date? What happens if you type 17/03/09 Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Thu, 19 Mar 2009 10:25:01 -0700, Jerry (donotspam) wrote: Problem Description: Something has happened to my ability to change the date format in Excel 2003 Professional.
