40 year loan amortization schedule

I am using Excel 2003 and trying to get the existing template for a loan that
will be amortized over 40 years. Excel will not let me enter a number above
30. How do I circumvent this problem?

Select that cell(D8) and DataValidation.

Remove or change the validation rule that limits you to 30 years.

You will also have to edit any of the range names that refer to row 378

Add 120 to those..................498

Then copy the formulas from row 378 down to row 498

Nothing to it<g
