Is there a way I can link a Date in Exel, to Calendar in Outlook?

I need to link a date in Exel with the Calendar in Outlook tasks, so that I
can have a reminder set up for this date. Can this be done? In other words
can a cell in Exel be flagged? Or do I have to manually go to Tasks and add
the date and details myself?
