Date format changes when inserting rows
I selected a column and formatted it so that the date displays ex. 3/12/09.
When I insert rows and type in the date it displays as 3/12/2009. Why does the format change? How can I get it so I don't have to format the dates individually or reformat the whole column. Thanks. |
Date format changes when inserting rows
Hi,
I can't duplicate your problem in 2003. If I have dates formatted to 1/13/09 in A1:A10 and then right-click row number 5 and choose Insert, when I type a new date into the blank cell A5, is goes in as 1/13/09. By the way Insert, Copied Cells in not equivalent to Insert Row. Better give us more details. What version, how are you doing the insert? -- If this helps, please click the Yes button.
