When i insert a formula using 2 different positive numbers my answer to it
comes out red.... how can i change this??? (I'm new to excel)

You may have conditional formatting applied to that cell. Go to
Format-Conditional Format to check.

Or, if the cell is formatted to currency, its possible to have number appear
red (but usually that's only when the value is negative.
