Research Tool not working
 

I use the research tool in Excel 2003 extensively, usually using Thomson Gale
Company Profiles. I am now getting a error just when I try to use the
Thomson Gale database (it works for an MSN search.) The error says:

Sorry, no company found.
Error: OraOLEDB
Error: ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified.
Error: Create temp table failed: TempTable

Can you help me resolve this?

I'm not going to be a lot of help here; been a while since I worked through
Excel with an Oracle database. But those are Oracle related error messages.

Have you tried setting up the connection/query in another workbook to see if
the problem is persistent across workbooks. It may be that the query has
just become corrupt in the one workbook you're receiving the error in. My
apologies for not having more advice/information for you.

A little more info: it appears that oraOLEDB is provided by Oracle so there
may be help from them. A search for "oraOLEDB error" comes up with several
hits and some will point you to Oracle support forums where you may get some
answers.
