Copying information down a row that changes after new entries
hi,
I have imported data into excel. The problem is I have multiple rows that should a number, then the number changes to something else. For example, the data is like this: billy 000 blue red yellow tom 001 orange banana I need the the 000 to go down the row to everything under Billy's name and the 001 to go to everything by tom's name and so on. Any help? -- stacie |

Billy and 000 are in different columns?
If yes, then selct the column with 000, 001... Press F5 Click on Special Click on BLANKS and click OK Type =B1 (assuming 000 is in B1) and press CTRL-ENTER If you have blank rows between the names in Column A then filter Col A on blanks and clear Col B for those rows...
