Comparing two columns some same some add up to others in column 2
Hi - I have two columns of transactions. Some in A equal exactly B, the rest
in A have to add up to one in B (combination of 2,3,4,...). Any suggestions on an approach? Ex: COLUMNA COLUMNB 1000 1000 250 1000 250 500 |

Hi,
There is no unique answer for this type of problem. You could use Solver to return 1 solultion, but there is no guarantee that it will be the correct on. Example, You have 1 hundred entries half are $1 the other half $5. You have a number 5 in your other spreadsheet, which one is it? or is it =1+1+1+1+1 and if so which 1's? Or 6 = 5+1 but which 5 and which 1? -- If this helps, please click the Yes button. Cheers, Shane Devenshire "navelkist" wrote: Hi - I have two columns of transactions.
