For pre xl2007, goto toolsoptionsview tabremove check mark from "Row &
Column Headers"

Default Excel - Hiding Column Headings (A,B,C,...) and Row Names (1,2,3,..

If you're using Excel 2003, it's under Tools - Options. I think it's under
Display Options there. Poke around in there, I'm pretty sure it's in View or
Display options.

In 2007, it's under the Office Button in Excel Options. There, under the
Advanced tab, you'll find "Display options for this worksheet". It's the
first option there.

Hi GS,

2003: Its Tools, Options, View and uncheck Row & Column Headers.

2007: As you say. Or press Alt+1 to open the Excel Options dialog.
