Copy and paste the hyperlinks
When hyperlinking a file in excel I use \\Server/folder/folder/file.xxx or
\\Server\folder\folder\file.xxx however when the file is saved the link changes to ../../folder/folder/file.xxx the problem comes when I either copy the cell with the hyperlink or copy the file the hyperlink will no longer work gives error The address of this site is not valid. Check the address and try again. Any suggestions as how to maintain the hyperlink integrity? Thank you for any suggestions. |
Copy and paste the hyperlinks
I'd try:
In xl2003 menus: File|Properties|Summary Tab|Hyperlink Base change it to C:\ (something that's always available) In xl2007: Click on the Office button Choose Prepare, then properties. Then use the arrow on the Document Properties dropdown Choose Advanced Properties And then change the hyperlink base on the Summary tab.
