auto fill
I need to make a table with for 4 quarters (rows) and the months of the year
(columns). I am asked to use the auto fill function for the months of the year but I can't seem to find where that is. Can someone tell me where the "auto fill" function is or how to use it instead of having to type in all of the months of the year. Thanks! |

Just write a month name in a cell, position the cursor on the bottom
right corner of the cell, click and drag down as far as needed. HTH Daniel I need to make a table with for 4 quarters (rows) and the months of the year (columns). Autofill is not a function you type in, but an action. You must enter your
first month (say January) and hit enter to complete your cell entry. Then select the cell you just entered the month into and look in the lower right corner - you should see a small square. Click and hold on this square and drag across the columns - the months should autofill for you. If they don't, once you've released the mouse button, you can click on a fly-out menu that appears next to the last cell you dragged too - this will give you some options. Hope that helps. CVinje |
