Excel document doesn't open after using it all day

I have read a number of the previous posts and found that nothing that helped
others helps me. I attempted to open a excel file. All I get is a grey
screen. The bottom left says open. The top left says the name of the file
but the tabs are though there is no worksheet open - ex: can't save, or save
as...Please help, important document.
It was working fine all day long.

Hi,

The bottom left should say Ready. Try choosing Window, Unhide.

If this helps, please click the Yes button

If you do a print preview, do you see the data?

If yes, I'd try rearranging the windows. In xl2003 menus, I'd use:
Window|Arrange|tiled
and then resize the way I want.
