How to keep borders box open
 

I used to be able to keep the borders box open in excel 2003 but now if 2007
it don't. I have to click the arrow and then the line wanted every time.

Not sure what's ur problem. Highlight the area for which u want draw
borders, right click in, choose format cells, go to border line tab. I see
border boxes there (if I understand border box same way as u do).
