Column Compare Match
 

Column A = Account Number
Column B = Patient Name
Column C = Account Number
Column D = Patient Name

I need to know which account numbers in Column A are listed in Column C. If
they are listed, I need the word female to display. I have tried the
following. IF(ISNUMBER(C1,A1:A17305)),"FEMALE",""). The problem is that the
range keeps changing as I copy and past the function. I need to search the
same range for each account. Please help.

I think:

=if(isnumber(match(a1,c:c,0)),"Female","")

This looks for an exact match for the value in A1 anywhere in column C.

=if(isna(match(A1,C$1:C$1000,0)),"","Female")

in Col E put this formula and drag it down

=if(isna(match(A1,c$1:c$100,0)),"","female")
