open windows (separately) in different sizes
 

I created an excel calendar that I would like to open separately, directly to
my desktop, and a smaller size than all my other excel workbooks. Is this
possible? I have tried the 'Open in new app instance', and that hasn't
worked for me. Any help is greatly appreciated.
