can excel send email?
I have a worksheet set up to track my company vehicles and when there lease
expires. I was wondering if there is a formula available to allow excel to send me an email a month or so prior to the date in the cell. If there is would someone be able to lend a hand and help me out?. Thanks in advance |

Excel could do that through some VBA coding (a macro). But think about it a
little: the workbook would have to be open for that to happen. So an easier route is probably to simply have some alert given to who ever has the book open during a particular time frame rather than sending the email. You could set up conditional formatting of the cells with the lease expiration dates in them to turn red when that date is less than 30 days in the future. That's probably the easiest route to take - requires no coding, just a look-see by the user. "Paddidle" wrote: I have a worksheet set up to track my company vehicles and when there lease expires.
